About Me
Welcome
My name is Monique Marchand. I am a first year doctoral student at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL majoring in Instructional Technology and Distance Education. Because of the educational shift from face-to-face learning to an online platform, I thought it necessary to expand my educational portfolio to pursue a doctorate degree.
Introduction
Distance education is an effective way of learning. Some students of distance learning believe they were more successful in an online course than in a traditional classroom setting (Simonson et al., 2008). The ultimate goal is for knowledge retention. Therefore, which ever platform will best benefit your learner, adapt instruction to meet their needs.
